The lincoln town car is the finest car on the road, period. I have owned three of them. Bought it from an elderly couple with extremely low miles and have racked up a lot of easy driving miles on it. Still drives smooth and neither burns nor leaks oil. The interior is extremely well worn and the exterior finish is now flaking off. The birds have been chirping under the hood for more than a year now (a pulley, belt or something) and the power steering pump has started to whine. The a/c would blow icy cold if someone were to replace the actuator, which is located behind the dash and requires a pretty complete disassembly of the dash, from what i understand. The window actuators have all been replaced in the time we have owned this car, and the air bag suspension was replaced with conventional coil springs several years ago when it became leaky (absolutely no perceptible difference in the ride). Again, the strength of this particular older town car is that it has an awful lot of good miles left ahead. I will negotiate some on the price, but please don't insult my intelligence. I do not own a cell phone, so do not "text" me. I will take cash or cash. In other words, no checks. I am still driving this car to work and back every day until it sells. Btw, tires are excellent. In my humble opinion, the lincoln town car is the finest car on the road, period. That's why i have owned three of them. I am ready to move on to a newer one. I am the second owner of this one, bought from an elderly couple with extremely low miles, and i have racked up a lot of my own easy driving miles on it over the years. The engine/transmission give me no concern whatsoever. These cars go hundreds of thousands of miles without major repairs if driven gently. All cars burn oil, even new ones. Neither does it leak anything. No puddles of any kind in driveway. Had a routine front end alignment less than a year ago and needed no parts replaced. Window actuators (which inevitably go out on these cars) have all been replaced. The driver side door panel needs plastic retention pins replaced, which i clumsily broke when replacing the actuator on that side last summer. The air bag suspension was replaced with conventional coil springs several years ago (a common modification on used lincoln town cars when the air bags inevitably fail; results in absolutely no perceptible difference in the ride). Tires are in excellent condition. I want to emphasize that this is not one of those cars for sale that's just been sitting on the side of someone's house with expired tags for some mysterious reason known only to the seller. I have found that, more often than not, sellers of used cars are little more honest than dealers, who i rank down there with the amoeba. Be clear, this town car is not the beauty queen it once was, and also it will need some minor mechanical fixes sometime in the future. The a/c would blow icy cold if someone were to replace the actuator, which is located behind the dash and requires a pretty complete disassembly of the dash, from what i understand. Back when i used to be more inclined to work on things, i have fixed these. Repair should be very inexpensive but requires removal of the steering wheel, which i just am not inclined to do. As for appearances, the dogs and kids have taken a toll on the once-nice leather interior. I may negotiate some on the price, but i don't take kindly to anyone insulting my intelligence. Folks, i am a bit old fashioned and do not own a cell phone, so do not try to "text" me. My land line number is the best contact. I will take cash or cash. In other words, cash only -- no checks. One final thing just occurred to me. I have a huge weakness for vintage smith & wesson n-frame revolvers. Thanks for taking the time to read my ranting description. I had fun writing it. Still drives smooth and neither burns nor leaks oil. Had a routine front end alignment about a year ago and needed no parts replaced. No shimmy, no slop, tracks true and straight as the day i bought it from original owners. Window actuators (which inevitably go out on these cars) have all been replaced, and air bag suspension was replaced with conventional coil springs several years ago (a common modification on used lincoln town cars and results in absolutely no perceptible difference in the ride). The tires are in excellent condition. No, i have been driving this car back and forth to work daily for years and will continue driving it daily until it sells. Having said all that, this town car is not the beauty queen it once was, and also it will need some minor mechanical fixes sometime in the future. The a/c would blow icy cold if someone were to replace the actuator, which is located behind the dash and requires a pretty complete disassembly of the dash, from what i understand. As for appearances, years of rough-housing dogs and children have accelerated the wear and tear to the interior. The original finish coat on the exterior has been flaking off for some time. I will negotiate some on the price, but please don't insult my intelligence. I do not own a cell phone, so do not "text" me. I will take cash or cash. In other words, cash only -- no checks. One thing i would consider in trade would be a vintage smith & wesson n-frame revolver in excellent or better condition. Air Conditioning

Engine and transmission are strong. Tires are in excellent condition. Regular scheduled oil changes at larry h miller. No leaks, no puddles of any kind in driveway. Routine front end alignment less than a year ago, needed no parts. No slop in steering, no shimmy, drives smooth and straight. Here's why the low price: although i still drive this back and forth to work every day, she's not the beauty queen she once was, and also could use some minor fixes (nothing that affects driveability). A/c would blow icy cold if someone were to replace actuator, located behind dash and requires disassembly of the dash to replace. Dogs and kids have taken a toll on once-nice leather interior. Phone calls, no texts. Bring cash -- i will not take checks. Air Conditioning
